Im looking for some good old rpg's whether there for nes, snes, gboy, pc, anything... anybody got any ideas????

I've got Legends of Valour for the Atari STe . . . :D :cool:

Well, the original Final Fantasy for nes I think was the greatest rpg ever. It was made in 1989. It was really a good game.

Then there is Chrono Trigger for snes. That one was really good.
FF2 and 3 in the us (4 and 5 in Japan I think) were really good ones.

If you want them, I would sudjest emulation. Jnes for the nes, and snes9x for snes.

Final Fantasy 3 (which is 6 in some places, but don't worry about that) is the best RPG I have ever played. but, if you don't want to use an Emulator, (and I know it isn't old) Everquest is meant to be very good, but if you don't want online playing try Baldurs Gate. But FF3 for the SNES definitley.

I've been playing Anarchy Online as of late with some friends. Its fun... but I mainly play it as a "glorified chat room".

yeah, that'll do as well.

Baldurs Gate on PC

Ax Battler on Game Gear. That rocked, especially the music inside the Pyramids.

its a really good rpg
but the said thing is, its all in text, but the world is described very well (adjectives) and you'd could either use telnet, or a app (on the site) that basically does the same thing for telnet but has alot more features, like ansII hilighting and such...

I am playing my first RPG ever right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Final Fantasy VIII for playstation. :D

If you are looking for OLD RPGs you can't do better than
LORD; LEGEND OF THE RED DRAGON.
I used to have it on a BBS I ran, it was amazing how many people joined just to play that game.
Now that I think about it,I miss it.

since you got PS ..

get Final Fantasy Chronicles. It has Chrono Trigger on it.

Nothing touches Final Fantasy... cept for FFVIII, as mentioned above.
(FFVIII was horrid)

Chrono Trigger also rules, and the Zelda series as well.
RPG's are sweet. :D

I don't think ffviii was that bad. Actually it was pretty good. The only thing I didn't like about it was the whole junctioning system. That got really annoying after a while. Besides that, ff8 was a really good game.

I hate the junctioning system too and also the reapeated gaurian animations.Apart form that ff8 is good.
What bout Diablo II.I thought that was good
And come to think of it ADOM.

Does FF9 have the junctioning system?

FF VIII was absolutely awesome.

FF IX doesn't have junctioning, it has "abilities" :)

everything else doesn't come close. :)

See, I never played an RPG until I started playing FFVIII, and then I start hearing people say that it's the worst one. So I'm like, well that's just great. But anyway, I am enjoying it. I think I'm going to get VII next.

Really, some of the older ones are better. Mainly becasue back in the days of nes and snes, developers cared more about gameplay then graphic power. Most of the newer games I've played have amazing graphics, but the gameplay is poor. I still say the original Final Fantasy is the best rpg.

And if you want a more modern RPG, get System Shock 2. It easily the best game ever.
