is this a good idea?
OK, I was thinking last night (I know, it is dangerous this thinking lark, but I like to live on the edge) about the number of people (including me) who come in here looking for inspiration and help with skins. I came to the conclusion that I could make a website with a load of PSP/photoshop (and even paint) tips and tricks and a place to have your skin "constructivly critisced". It would not be a place for finished skins, just work in progress.
What I want to know is whether anyone in here thinks a)it is a good idea or 2)that they would contribute to it thanks in advance for the feedback (I'm not going to get any after saying that now, am i ):igor: :hang: :winamp: :up: :down: :weird: |

yeah, but a site dedicated to it. I am thinking of people being able to upload screenshots and have them displayed instantly (instead of having to attach them or having to upload them to webspace then fiddling with [img] tags).

sounds like a good idea, but i like fiddling with [img] tags, better yet, why not make it so u have to post everything in html so then we can fiddle with <html> <body> <img src="blahblahblah"> etc.. tags!!:Dhttp://members.fortunecity.com/ch33zels/biggrin.gif:D

well, I have made a "prototype"
when you upload a skin, then it will automaticly displayed (using PHP), so you don't have to fiddle around with nuffin :) it is at www.binaryhero.4t.com for now. I am well aware that the "Go Home" link doesn't work, it links to file://somewhere :( and that the background is huge (I stupidly made it a a 1024x768 image :D :hang: )) |
you've got some bad links there for other sites. for example: http://www.binaryhero.4t.com/www.winamp.com/skins
my 2 cents: having skin love and your site will just spread out skinners. some will be here and some at your site meaning less people will be around for help at either site. |
