Should I post this new skin?
 

I just was just readinj bout the mystery behind "EL Dorado: a few days back and thought to myself how kool it would be if my music system was made of gold.Then Ihit up on the idea of givin winamp a gold shine.So i made this skin.
Waddya think?Should I coninue with the rest of the skin or just dump it?
Still got MB n windwshade to go.
An oh yea this is only my first serious attempt at skinning so its not that good.

I likes it alot, but I don't really like the green. I don't think it goes very well with the gold, especially in such small proportions

I changed it to a lighter shade of yellow.
Any other suggestions anyone.I need help!

not bad - not bad at all - looks more bronze to me than gold - but its a really nice skin
I'm also not fond of the green though - perhaps red..
Keep skinning - I like any skin not done by a generator/skinner.exe

I dont think Red would do this skin any Justice.. keep as it is.. maybe a little lighter. It doesnt look too bad for your first Serious attempt at skinning.

are the cursors animated?

I made normal cursors but I'll try animated ones.I havent made an animated cursor in my life so I dont know if it'll turn out well.

Ok this skin now has animated cursors.

and I'm glad to see you took into account the text area on the main has to match the text area on the playlist - something I still fail to do on occassion...

As far as this skin goes, I think the colors are a bit dull, but the color scheme is nice.

What I would do, as a sequel to this skin, is an updated version of this one, but instead of the yellow in it, you should change it to silver. It would be a silver and gold combination, and it would really work well, I think.

It's meant to be a gold skin but if it were meant to be just a skin, that might work.

What I meant to say was, I liked the way the colors fit together, but I dont like the colors, personally.

And yes, Silver And Gold could be a new release. It would be nice.

What a coincidence.I was working on a silver version before reading this.It didnt come out too well.So I scrapped it.

Good work really, maybe gold and futuristic and embossed style isn't what i really like, but this is personal taste.Is really clear and shining and you did well unincreasing the saturation of the yellow tone:up:
