I just discovered my newest skin got published and you almost gotta love that component number. Anyways, I know it's not my best but the screenshot is so fucked up it's not true.

1. Transparency. It hasn't picked up the transparency at the top of the main (currently black), the bottom of the main (currently one pixel high black) or the bottom of the eq (currently black) yet it did at the top of the eq. :igor:

2. monostereo. Should say stereo not tereo.

3. the vol/bal is one pixel too high.

4. the clutterbar is one pixel too high.

5. the eq has weird lines at the bottom of the bars.

Is there anyway of fixing this?

Nope, it's the screen shot taker, it does it on all skins, not just yours.

got the same problem...
 

somebody should fix that screenshot taker. :confused: it always f**ks up my eq windows, and the screenshot of my starcraft skin looks like shit. (@ any staff member who might read this: no offense, you guys made the best mp3 player on the planet)

uh well, I think there's no way to fix it, except you republish your skin. To make sure that the transparency effect looks right you have to use white as the transparency color, that's the winamp.com background color. -cheers.

Yeah, I know it happens a lot, but usually it's just the vol/bal and screwed up colours on certain bit-depth images. Oh well, they'll have to rethink it with WA3 anyway. Also, just a suggestion that'll never reach the site dev (if there is still one?) but in future in the WA3 database would it be possible to have the skinner namelink to a search for all their skins rather than email?

you can fix this by drawing a line with the eq background color (or whatever) below the bars (in eqmain.bmp).

You should just run winamp over a solid background (white probably) then press the print screen button. Paste it in your image editor and then cut out the parts that you need and save it as a gif or png or whatever. I find that much easier and more accurate.

Colldawg, I'm talking about the screenshot in the skins section at Winamp.com. They have total control over the screenshot - I can't change it.

Well I could change the transparency and the EQ but I'd have to resubmit which I can't be asked to do. I won't get any downloads anyway. :D

that happened to mine to, it looks like shit the way they put it. i waited a month and a half for it to get published, then it does and the screenshot's fucked, it gets buried by crap and i get 19 downloads. who cares!!i dont. i like on DA you make your own:D ps, i love the new smilies, esp these :weird: :igor: :hang: :eek:
