heres my new skin - nearly finished. tell me what you think :P

thats cool! are you planning on making dif color versions? i like the color, but brownish tan wont go eover well with most... i like the way everything is laid out. gotta take another look- ok, it also seems like a prime candidate for some reserved tasteful transparencey at least in the main. keep posting updates :)

Could I request that transparency not be used since it will be very hard to pull it off well and I don't think it would add to the skin. Or if you do, offer a transparency-free version for me. Yes, I'm too lazy to load up WinZip and delete region.txt. Otherwise I love this skin. My only complaint is the eq bars. Rather than have the bar changing shades (comme baseskin) could you just have a single colored bar all the way through since it looks weird. This is going to turn out great - I can just tell.

yea i agree bout tha transparancy thing...theres only one place i could figure out where it would work..and its not a very big place either lol.

about the eq bars..i think i know what u mean..it was kinda hard to do it jus one colour cos of the number of bars used. But i'll give it a go jus for you :) which colour tho? the yellowy colour or the gold?

and skinme..cos i value your opinion a lot :P u make some cool skins -what do u think about the colour scheme?

P.S for those of u wonderin what zpworld is - if you play unreal tournament u should already know. ZP / Zero-Ping is a very popular modification for UT and the ppl at zpworld.com asked me to do em a skin available for d/l on their site...now u know :p

here are my original 'conceptual' ideas for the mb and pl..do u think they'll still go with the main and eq? theyve changed a lot since the original design.

I absolutely love the colour scheme - it complements the design very well and you are quite daring (for which I commend you) to try it. I think that you should release it as is (colour-scheme-wise) and popular opinion demands another colour scheme you might consider releasing such a colour scheme as an alternative design.

About the EQ bars I think the colour used in the third bar from the right (the dark colour) works the best.

Looking at your conceptual ideas for the playlist and minibrowser I think they would work well considering the constrictions imposed by the resizability of those windows. I am currently working on a skin where the PL and MB will be slight departure from the main and EQ but I think that it works well as do your conceptual ideas.

A good place for help skinning the MikroAmp is WSDSkins which recently changed URLs so you'll have to wait for one of the less forgetful members to step in on that one. Or do a search for WSD in the forums. The URL is not the one hosted by NBC or similar if you do find it.

I don't personally skin DFX and very few people do. I think you'd need to use NSIS to pimp it up or an exectubale ZIP since it won't work if you just put it in the .WSZ file.

dunno if u noticed but the eqbars dont actually change thru many colours - only two in fact..here take a look. if u still think it should b one colour say so and i'll do it :P

Well, now that you've shown me that I think it'd be hard to call either way without seeing it in action and scrolling it myself, so I'll leave it to your judgement. I'm going to download this either way so....:)

its not my personal taste in skins but I do Like the colors and overall design - and the obvious effort - like skinme! say - I'd have to see the EQ sliders in action for a judgement call - but I think based on what you're showing me that I'm not going to like them - perhaps make the second color a lighter shade of um... dark

here's a new ide for the eq bars (what I would like to see, but this is just MO): take out the colored bar completely and replace it with the bar that is in all of the title bars (also runing down the left side of the mb).

another option would be to fade the green eq slider middle section into the pus coloured background layer of the eq when moving up and down:D

geeeeez this skin is takin forever :P what with gcse work and stuff....anyway its nearly finished now - all i need to do is a little more on the eq, mikroamp and the avs *phew* lol then onto my other secret project - oooooo :D

Anyway, I really really like this skin. The new EQ bars are great and it's all detailed yet not overcrowded. Yeah GCSEs suck - I've gotmy mocks this week. Latin this morning. (WHY ON EARTH DID I CHOOSE LATIN?)

its seems a bit too much two dimensional, plus now it has less animation without the Eq sliders.. would of prefered them animated to a different colour.

I tried to use animations in the eq sliders...but none of em worked very well..and with none of u bein too sure of the original anim i thought i may aswell use none at all lol.....

i'll have a look at my options...

Yeah but dude, I go to one of those gay posh schools where they expect A*s as do my parents. Yes it's gay.

Anyway, Latin is actually quite easy but it's hard to remember all f**king set text - 10 Amor poems 90 odd lines about Sagae Thessalae (witches of Thessaly) and so far 50 lines of Nisus and Euryalus (who are also officially gay, and must watch out for attack from behindand dare with their right hands). There's enough sexual inuendo to make me laugh in the middle of my exam and earn the scornful looks of my elders.

Nevermind, go Latin, go. It's fun to translate though.

BTW, back on subject. I know it doesn't really look of coffee but when I said that I had my darkness way up.

I really like the skin, a lot, meticulous work and a really well done design really like it.And i like the fact you post here the working of the skin in itself.Nice pleasurable touch.
But i think that i'm annoying everybody, you too know that the skin is a five already....so what?
The font. I mean the font of the titlebars , I think you can find a better one, some v-dub or other particular or maybe really essential, I think it could be a sophisticated touch as all the skin is going to be sophisticated.
Wish you good work and don't stay up too late...;)
