Copyright $#%* up by major sites

It is funny if you look at sites and their copyrights right now. For instance MSN.com has this displayed

"©2001 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. Terms of Use Advertise TRUSTe Approved Privacy Statement GetNetWise"

What is wrong? LOOK AT THE YEAR! Even Microsoft can make mistakes actually we already know that but the point of this post is to make fun of the big dot coms and how stupid they are when they update their site everyday but don't update the copyright at the bottom of the page.

Just surf the web for a few minutes checking sites to see if they updated. It is about half and half right now. You are proably wondering why I took the time to worry about it or post this. Well when your running a big ecommerce site or any big dot com, you look like and idiot if you have bugs on your pages. Your a corporation who pays people to update the site and they can't even update the copyright. Pathetic.

[edit]Oh yeah by the way. Winamp.com didn't update to 2002 hehe. Just thought I would add that. Hey Stevie are you listening?[/edit]

Doesn't the copyright year refer to the year in which the rights were granted or renewed?

And who really cares? I don't think updating the copyright year on a webpage is as important as you seem to think.

they only update the copyright when the copyright has been renewed for the next year...
