Transparency Ideas for my new skin
 

I have just finished making my 5th skin and it's called Amnesia. I have done everything, including the cursors, however, i want to add some transparency to it, but I am not sure where to add it, does anyone have any ideas for me? The skin is too big to attach on here so i have just attached a picture, if anyone wants me to send it to them for a better idea of what its like just email me ( stonecoldross@hotmail.com ) Also, if you could tell me what you think of the skin it would be appreciated.

pretty good job....
but i think the square black areas clash with the red circles. maybe you could try rounding off the corners? or make more bits like that oval shape above the EQ

not sure what to suggest for transparency, but here is a good region.txt generator by Maxim.

i like the font you have used. reminds me of the bladerunner title graphic

Ok, first off. Nice skin, although I agree that the black area needs to be rounded off. However, I don't see much room for transparency. It's not an issue - transparency would degrade the quality of this particular skin - perhaps next time?

I have that font and surprisingly it's called Bladerunner :)

dont use transparency... it ruins too many skins.
and if you do use it, make it subtle like in War Games or Nemish

this is a nice skin, but I agree - transparency would detract from it, not add

and there's something about the circles w/ the rectangles that is bad...make those a bit rounded and this will be very nice

Thanks to those who have given me some feedback on Amnesia, I do have the region.txt editor by Maxim, I used it in my last 2 skins Fusion-X and Pelagic II, just basic transparency though, but I have decided to agree with you and just leave it as it is, with no transparency.
When you say the square black areas, you mean the big panel in the main window right? I tried rounding it off before, but it looked a bit pixelly, I will have another go at it though, also previously I had the black strips between each bar of the Equalizer the same colour as the blue/purple background of the rest of the skin, do you think I should leave it back or change it?
