Ralph Waldo Emerson writes in his essay 'Friendship' that

"A friend is a person with whom I may be sincere. Before him, I may think aloud. I am arrived at last in the presence of a man so real and equal, that I may drop even those undermost garments of dissimulation, courtesy, and second thought, and may deal with him with the simplicity and with which one whemical atom meets another."

Basically, a friend is someone who you can say exactly what you are thinking to, without the usual niceties.

What I want you all to do with the thread is to tell other members what you think of them. For example, if you think member X puts no thought into his posts, say it here. All you have to do is put down what the person does that you dont like/feel is immature/inappropriate. Is this flaming? No. This is getting stuff off your chest and into a place where it can be dealt with instead of staying pent up inside. I feel that the forums could benefit from some frankness right now.

So please respond, and put some thought into it.

Oh, and if your name is mentioned, dont hop on the defensive immediatly. Read what the person said, maybe print it out, and then walk into a quiet room and think about it. See if you can understand where the person is coming from. See if you really do need to change something. Dont just whip out the flamethrower immediately.

[edit: RM is right. PM would be better for this. But the point remains]

I don't like the sound of this. I urge you, if you absolutely must get something off your chest, use PM.

 you dont need to call miss cleo on this one, in a perfect place this would be ok, but if it was a perfect place you wouldnt need this. ;) besides the day to day things people gripe about i dont think there are very many things that would stand out to talk about other mebers that way. just the same gripe about the same people im sure is all youd get.
