Talent because you know you can actually do something. If you had fame, fortune, etc, but nothing special, I would feel very empty.

Spiffed 27th January 2002 17:21

ok, no creative talent but still have an opinion. If i could include one person that loved me to the list of things that poverty includes i'm all for it. I'd much rather be poor, unknown and loved then to live in a world where it's all an illusion, but if i can't add someone who loves me then i'm all for rich and famous

rm' 27th January 2002 17:37

Talent. I don't believe in wealth that was acquired without the use of ingenuity and talent.

[edit: RM can't get his words straight]

SNYder 27th January 2002 17:52

talent. cause i never really wanted fame or wealth anyway. i just want a comfy apartment, my friends, some good equipment and i'd be happy.

ReDVsion 27th January 2002 17:56

In the great words of Cartman, both those choices "suck donkey balls."

Are you saying you KNOW that you're the greatest... whatever, that ever walked the face of the planet, and are therefore a pompous sonofabitch? Sure! I'll be that! :D

In all seriousness I'll have to think on this one. Talent kicks ass, but I like to be appreciated, thank you...

ReDVsion 27th January 2002 18:02

...and I'm thinking more along the lines of the "loner" artistic genious. Naturally, were I a misunderstood artist who had friends and hopefully a wife, that's a no brainer - I'd be that; screw fame.

lil vixen 27th January 2002 18:05

i would have to choose talent because as it stands right now im about as untalented as n ant =\

binary hero 27th January 2002 18:48

I'm not going to pretend that this is an easy choice. At the moment, i'm not feeling particurlaly talented (I'm trying to make a skin that sounds easy, but is actually quite hard to align properly), but I have money(that i didn't work for). Money doesn't bring happiness (as i am learning), it just brings choices and limits. I'll go for talent, and have a chance of having the money, and happiness having worked for it, rather than 'happening' to have the money.

fwgx 27th January 2002 19:02

Talent because being famose would suck.

Gonzotek 27th January 2002 19:06

I have to feel that my talent will result in me not being poor. It's worked so far :) But the world's greatest I am not (and so far from). I'd have to go with talent, because I truly could care less for the kind of fame I would receive for being a no-talent hack (*cough*Steve Gibson*cough*).

Merlin 27th January 2002 19:18

Famousness and wealth, so then I could spend money developing the talent I was supposed to have, then go live my dream. Plus it would be the opposite of my current scenario.

DJ Shredder 27th January 2002 19:57

Talent, for sure.

If you have talent, the money/fame/etc. will most likely come naturally, but without the empty feeling.

Bilbo Baggins 27th January 2002 20:28

I would rather go where the river called Life takes me.

insomniac 27th January 2002 20:32

Talent. Because eventually it would pay off and I would be rich. Not neccessarily famous, which would suck, but rich.

No Name 27th January 2002 20:58

talent.

papadoc 27th January 2002 21:24

Hmmmm....lets see.
At one time in my life,I was rich, popular,
and surrounded by beautiful women all the time.
Didn't work, just earned tons of money by...well
lets just say I was self-employed.
My talents didn't matter.
I still had them, I just didn't need to use them.
Then one day I quit that lifestyle.
I looked back on it and realized,
I really wasn't very happy, even with all I had.
Not in my heart.
So now I have nothing but my talents.
And I can tell you I am so much happier.
I'm so glad I had something worth while to fall back on,
to bring me back up to here.
I'll take talent.

WolfieD 28th January 2002 05:15

Wealth, Fame, and Fortune.

Xerxes 28th January 2002 05:21

A very hard decision... I'd almost go for the money- but then I remember that people without talent with lots of money always get into drugs and alcohol.

So I guess I'd choose talent. Because people without talent who create beautiful things at least get fame after their poor flea bitten carcass is in the ground.

You can't make threads sticky Nem, just because you want your thread to stay at the top longer than everyone elses. Sticky threads are for announcements, or for important stuff such as the the skinning contests.....

CraigF 28th January 2002 18:30

unstuck.

missyob 29th January 2002 04:50

Being loved, cared for, and made to feel special is more important than any kind of money or talent. I guess I am a girl and think with my heart.

Jon Deaux 29th January 2002 04:53

Wealth.
I can hire talent.
Yeah, I'm shallow.
