Image help needed.

I'm sure that there's a way to do this without using massive images, but I want to make a hyperlink of a set width, so that when the user mouses over the image, the background colour changes.

I've added an attachment to show what i mean. The text would be just to the right of the part where I've cropped it.

The problem is that when I enlarge my images, they remain a *certain* number of pixels above the text, and the top of the text becomes slightly lower than the top of the image.

On my PC at home, it works fine, with the whole section changing colour, but the computers at college (here) don't seem to display it in the same way.

So I basically want to find a way to make an image vertically aligned with some text.

My last resort is to make a JavaScript bit that changes the image of the entire hyperlink to one of the new hyperlink, but I *really* don't wanna do that.

Any ideas?

(edit: I've found what I was looking for in the Bare Bones guide to HTML: stupid of me to forget the Align="TextTop" tag. D'oh...)
