looking for clean, good looking skin
 

whats happenin guys?? well ive done an endless search for skins on the site... and found a few i liked, but i would like to ask yall of what are some of yalls favorites... i dont want it to be too ..hmm wuts the word im looking for.. dont want it to be too much.. ill leave it at that.. but clean without a bunch of pointless junk.. prob anything yall have taste for will work.. alright guys ill be waitin for the ideas.. thanks

I too love clean, I don't want skins I can barely use because they are too arty. I have been using the following skin for a long time now.

Perfect example of differing definitions/opinions: I wouldn't call Kaolla (above) a clean skin--not very usable for me, although the design is nice in theory/pretty.

i pray to god he made this skin at double its size and will have winamp scale it down to 50% by default so that when you zoom in it doesnt get all icky.

why arent you skinners doing that?! i mean, common, it's almost stoopid not to

That's a very good idea SNYder... wow.

Been using that myself for a couple of months. It's good 'coz all the buttons are a)readable and b)in the right place.

Oh, and it looks l33t. Kaola or whatever it is, for WA3, looks like the best skin ever, ever, for anything.

There are a few nice Anime WinAmp skins out there if anime is your thing. Some of (read: not all) the best have to be gotten off of sites other than WinAmp.com
A friend of mine did one and I'm publishing it for him (if it would ever move to the "published" category" :growl: ) It is one of Ayanami Rei from the anime "Neon Genisis Evangelion." This is his second version, which has a totally different concept than the first. He had me replace the old one with the new one, so you can't d/l the old one anymore.

Does anyone actually use the Minibrowser?

I use it for games.

i use the minibrowser for lyrics through songmeanings. that's it.

ive made manny o' skinz for winamp 3 but none turned out that amazing so I never published them, but one thing I always have done is made the original photoshop image (the skin before its cut up and made to seperate png's) 2 to 4 times the actual size of the skin so that, 1) [once I find out how] I could scale the skin down by default and 2) if someone, or me, wanted it smaller or larger, I could easily provide a special version for them.

Scaling by default is easy. Here's a simple sample script to include in your WA3 skins:

Just get the container and layout you need to scale and setScale(). Note: The zero preceding a decimal value is important.
