Hi there. I've been looking for something too. I found this one
http://www.songmeanings.net/ but it doesn't seem to be available at this time. I hope someone else can offer a bit more help.

songmeanings is a lyrics site....it has nothing to do with cd text at all.....

You'll also need a CD drive taht will support CD text, and very few do at the moment....

Well,

I have both CD ROM player and CD/RW CD-text compatibility.
I have also nero and also CDex which recognise cdtext.

My wish is not to use cdtext to avoid writting title name etc... when I encode a cd in mp3 but When I listen an audio CD (CD text of course) with winamp I would be pleased if it could show titles, names etc as it does for mp3.
This is the purpose of the cd text format. My radio in my car does it well.

It's a shame I cannot programme.

So if anyone has an idea ....

If you think that maybe no-one has ever asked about cd-text support before, here's a couple of recent threads:

http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=73099
http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=72775

It's also referenced in The Official Winamp 2x Wish List

For more of the same, goto the search page and search for keyword: cd-text
There's about 50 results to choose from. :p ;) :D

Perhaps you should make CD-Text a sticky as new users seem incapable of using the search...

Hi

Thanks for the info but, I still don't know if there is a plugin to read the cdtext.
I don't want any cddb or other database on my pc. One of the point of CD text it's that it contains its own info. What's the point to have it twice ?

Apparently there is nothing for winamp.
Please don't tell me there is this player or this one that read cd text because I am not interested in it. I am just looking for a plugin to make winamp read cdtext without writting any database on my hard disk.

Thank you

NacNac

PS if I ask it's probably because I have not found the answer when I read threads about cdtext
