Illegal Opperations = Argh!!

Somebody, anybody, help!! I'm running a server at home and I'm having REAL trouble with it!! When ever some body tries to tune in to listen, the server has a fit and gives me an illegal opperation. If it's any use, this is the so called reason why:

SC_SERV_GUI caused an invalid page fault in
module SC_SERV_GUI.EXE at 016f:00409a07.

Anyway, if you've got any info, please reply.

All the best.

sounds like you have something funky on your system, probably something related to incoming connections.. port scanner, firewall? what o/s are you using?

Win 98 laptop basicly. No, i don't use my scanner OR printer on this computer.

Shirow 19th February 2002 20:06

a port scanner, not a real scanner.. a firewall..?

leecherry 19th February 2002 20:30

sorry

lol, sorrry, im a bit tired. I'm using McAfee VShield Virus scanner, but no port scanners on this. That help?

Shirow 19th February 2002 21:19

must be something conflicting... very hard to decypher over the 'net though. might be time to format :p

Damn

It's not my laptop, so that's the worse possible option to me. If you have any other ways, please let me know

Well... a the first seen it seem to be a stack problem caused by an infinite boucle... But the cause i don't know...
Shut down any firewall or anti-virus, reinstall dsp and winamp...
and if nothing work welll... format :D
