Need song recommendations

I need a song for something like a graduation. It will go with a slideshow of pictures of friends and stuff, showing all the good times. I would like the lyrics to match with the theme and the song should be slow or kinda slow. I had in mind of Good Riddance by Green Day, but that song is kinda short. I want something like that but a bit longer, maybe close to 4 or 5 minutes.

i heard a really good song recently, right on that theme, but i can't remember what it smegging well is

Wherever you will go by The Calling might be a good choice. Download it and check it out.

our graduation song was by vitamin c. some stupid slow one, about remembering all the good times etc. blah. they made the class sing the song. it was picked by the girls, and the guys had no say in it, so when everyone got up there to sing it, all the guys refused to sing :p

ahh, everything was sooo much simpler in grade school.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. Wherever You Will Go is kinda like loudish and stuff yanno? Graduation Song is too lame and yeah. :P Thanks for the suggestions though. Anymore?

our graduation video from middle school (ridiculous isn't it?) had songs like save tonight by eagle eye cherry and wild flowers by tom petty. try one of those

i'd go with Here's to the night by Eve 6
it talks about everyone's last moment together before leaving for the better

Huehuetenango 27th February 2002 02:38

THAT"s the song i was thinking of, thanks chiquita

two votes for "here's to the night"

yeah, something by the smashing pumpkins, or maybe something by the chili peppers. i dont know, i dont really know any 'graduation songs' and the vitamin c one was total ass.

Counting Crows - Colorblind, slow and some would say sad song. I see it as sobering and joyful though.
or
Pumpkins - Porcelina of the Vast Oceans, very chilled then very heavy and awesome. A dead cert to make anyone smile.

thats actually preferable to 'graduation song'.

some of us guys actually changed the lyrics to have a song all about drugs, heh.

Huehuetenango 28th February 2002 03:51

grad songs?
my school doesn't have grad songs
we have grad pranks, and my year can't even agree on what ours should be,
i'd be scared if anyone tried to get us all to agree on a SONG

Xerxes 28th February 2002 05:50

Generation Next by the Spice Girls :hang:

insomniac 28th February 2002 06:00

Staind - It`s Been Awhile
Filter - The Best Things
Foo Fighters - My Hero (for the sports sections and all)
Pearl Jam - Daughter

that`s all i can think of right now... :D
