Stereo hook ups
|
A cable from the output of your soundcard to the inputs of your hifi.
|
Yep, just depends on what type of inputs your hi fi has. Mine has RCA phono inputs, so I use a 3.5mm stereo -> 2 RCA plugs cable. Cost me £3, with gold plated plugs.

Get a single mini-plug to double RCA-plug like this:
http://images.pricegrabber.com/produ...431103_125.jpg Mini-plug to speaker output port of soundcard. RCA-plugs to L and R audio in jacks on stereo. (Keep red to red and black to black) That's it. Keep in mind your stereo is analog. You may have to deselect "digital output" on your soundcard settings. And also when you turn everything back on after setting it up, make sure the volume on your stereo is at 0. Then gradually turn it up. You can also reverse the setup with another mini to RCA, going from one of the audio output ports on your stereo to the line-in port on your soundcard. Then you can rip from your CD player, cassette player, radio, turntable, even the audio from your tv and vcr, to your hard drive, and keep the RIAA pissed off. Let us know how it goes... |
