Equalizer Doesn't Work
I am a newbie to Winamp and I just downloaded version 2.78. All tools on the graphic equalizer work, however, it has no effect whatsover on the sound output when I play a CD. I have read many of the other post on this site pertaining to solutions and/or possible reasons for such before placing this post.
I successfully downloaded and installed the CD Plug-in suggested from other post. However, still the problem remains. I am using a Sound Blaster SB16PCI and I am running Windows 98. I have plenty of ram and my proccessor is well above the requirements for the Winamp program. Any technical advice/suggestions/input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks:) |
Did you try CDReader?
Did you read the documentation and properly disable the default CD plug-in by renaming in_cdda.dll and in_cdda.cdb to in_cdda.dll.off and in_cdda.cdb.off respectfully? |
turning off plug-in
Thank you very much for your quick reply. As to re-naming the other plug-ins as you mention, do I do that in the program files for Winamp under "plug in"?
Thanks again:rolleyes: |
In Windows Explorer
C:\Program Files\Winamp\plugins |
*smiles*
It worked! Thanks a million dude!! The equalizer works like a champ with the CD now, thanks to you! :) :) :) |
