mp3's garbled+slowing down?

Hi all,

Apologies if this has been covered before but I couldn't find it anywhere.

Bascially in winamp when using the visualisations (especially then full screen ones) the audio slows down! it sounds garbled and poor quality - almost incomprehensible, the same effect is also apparent when using the some of the visuals in windows media player?

I've tried several combinations of drivers for the sound card and graphics card but to no avail,

Any ideas?

Regards :)

system:-
