I am having a hell of a time using the CDREADER plug in for WINAMP. I get the following error:aspi error:0X4(SRB completed with error)
sense key:0X2(no ready) sense code:0x3a 0x0 (medium not present)

facts: winamp 2.78 w95vb. PII 266 w/128 meg. Sound blaster.

I HAVE disabled the DLL's in the plugins directory.

Also have installed the latest aspi for adabptec (4.60)

I also have installed ver 1.95 of the cdreader. I have been reading the varioius posts....

I have two cd units in my pc. A rom and cdr. Letters were switched in the CDREADER fix... IT WORKS!!!!:D :) :up:

I've been following the progress of this thread,
but I didn't post anything because I had full confidence in you all along.
I had a feeling you'd suss it out all for yourself. ;)
It seemed obvious to me that you were following the info/instructions from the relevant threads in TSGH -> Useful Links, and all the info you could possibly need relating to CDReader & ASPI errors is accessible through there . . . so good on ya my friend! Well done! :up: :)

I had fun getting this thing to work.... don't let the boss know!

Learned more about CDreader, ASPI, Plug-ins than I desired just to listen to equalized audio CD's... But thats the PC world.

I am off to fixing my new problem: Aggravating sqeaking noise whenever I page up/down whether it be via the up/down keys the scroll bar or with an intellimouse spin wheel! I need to get bak into the forum later on today.
