Well, you were the one who didn't uncheck "Associate with AudioCD" during Winamp setup. :p ;)
Goto: Winamp -> Prefs (Ctrl+P) -> Filetypes
Uncheck "Associate with AudioCD"
Now open which ever crappy player you want to be the default instead
and select which ever option inside its prefs to make it the default player . . . if it even has such an option.
If it doesn't, then goto Windows Folder Options -> File Types tab,
scroll down for AudioCD (Win9x) or N/A - AudioCD (WinME/2k/XP)
and set the default player here.
Seeing you didn't include your Windows OS version, I can't give the precise details, because it's different for different OS's.

So, why do you want to use WMP or Windows CD Player then?
I hope you realize you can make Winamp work just like WMP7
by replacing the default in_cdda.dll analog plugin with the digital CDReader
This'll make the EQ and vis/dsp plugins work for AudioCD's. :)

Good luck!
