Controlling winamp 3 though another program.
 

I was just surfing the web and came accross an tie of Winamp2 and PHP. http://www.overloadinteractive.com/kg/

I was playing around with it under winamp2 and 3. It uses httpQ to control winamp. When I tried it under 3 it had limited support for the controls, basicly it was only able to play, stop, pause, etc. The plug-in is capibal of controling the EQ, play list, etc.

To cut to the chase I was wondering if it would be possibal to have PHP work with winamp directly instead of a third party plug-in. Would it be possibal or would I have to do some tweaks or some stuff to winamp?

I should been a little bit more spacific. I did use the plug-in with the winamp2 plug-in manger for winamp3. What I'm trying to get at is if it is possibal to get PHP to send commands to winamp3 directly without the plug-in.

but lately I've been seeing some stuff go into the sdk that would make this a rather trivial task... for one they are adding a service that would make this simple...

its called svc_eval... and you write one for different types of expressions you would like to evaluate... you'd just have to write one for php :D - then write your php script.
