You need a program capable of reading and playing MPG2 format. I've never tried it with WMP7 but if you get a program like Power DVD XP edition (DOnt worry, it runs on all platforms running the 98 kernel) it plays DVD's quite well.

GoldenSphynx 1st April 2002 03:41

Is there a Final Cut Pro version out for windowsXP or any other platform other than Mac? if so is it available to the public?

GoldenSphynx 3rd April 2002 00:09

does anybody no how i can save a flash 5 movie from online so that i would be able to edit it or play it offline???

Vica 3rd April 2002 00:50

If you look around you will find an "exe to swf" converter. It just so happends that I saw one the other day but don't remember where.

Flash files can also be protected so just to let you know.

GoldenSphynx 3rd April 2002 01:00

no but i mean like ....lets say theres a greeting i really like but i want to add a personal touch of my own...how can i save that greeting card(like on yahoo or egreeting) so that i can edit it

_Blackdog_ 3rd April 2002 01:24

use a converter like vica mentioned and edit away in flash. you do realize that you need the flash program, not just the plug-in. (sorry if i'm being "master of the obvious")

GoldenSphynx 3rd April 2002 01:28

uhh yeah i knew that...thats y ive had the program for a couple of months now

GoldenSphynx 3rd April 2002 01:42

If you have flash 5, then there is an option to create a stand alone player....or to put it simply an exe....play around until you find the option cause I can't remember where it is.

If the home page here doesn't make mention of it, then it is safe to assume that none exist....or pretty much not even a windows version.

Simple.Apply common sense. You'd find the .swf in the Temp internet files. Then open Flash and you can import it.
As said before some files however cannot be changed if theyre protected.

Bilbo Baggins 4th April 2002 22:34

Oh they can ;)

GoldenSphynx 5th April 2002 12:52

  NICE!!!

dead-beat 5th April 2002 19:25

far as i knpow you cant edit the swf file thats why when u save a flash file you get a .fla and .swf file you upload the .swf so no one can edit it the only editable file is the .fla file if you are lucky the guy who made the movie might not have fealised and uploaded it aswell in which case try putting the hyper link of the swf file in the exploroer bar and change it to .fla se if it lets you download it :)

http://www.flashkit.com is very usful for flash tutorials there you can download the .fla files to edit yourself :)

dam 5th April 2002 19:41

Actually you can edit the .swf.But to a limit.I mean the symbols are kinda diffrent. You cant make out much without the .fla.But you can add your personal touch.Dosent prevent you from doing that.

dead-beat 5th April 2002 19:48

lol i didnt know that thanx for correcting me :)
