poor sound quality

can anyone help??

the sound quality of my winamp files has gone terrible, when ever i load a song it seems like the vocals are being sung in a wharehouse and are really low.

I don't think its my sound card because my real jukebox is working fine

I tried adjusting the graphical equalisers but they had no effect

next I tried to adjust some of the options but I think I just made the problem worse

You may have accidentally choose any of the presets (full bass for example). Do you have this problem with Windows Media Player?

Also make sure you didn't turn on any dsp/effect plugins (that you don't want) by mistake:

Winamp Preferences (CTRL+P)
Select the DSP/Effect tab
Highlight none

I suppose it depends on the song. Since my speakers have presets

Default
Jazz
Pops
Class
Rock

I generally don't bother with the Winamp presets.
