Jason X

Ok... If any of you have seen the previews for this you know what I am talking about. Well the movie is based on the old Jason horror films. From what I have taken from the previews they are 453 years in the future with a mutated Jason in a space ship with them. This movie I think is going to completely ruin the series of Jason movies. This storyline seems to ruin the idea of the original Jason movies. And what is with that one lady killing machine.... is she alien or something?

I think this movie looks like crap. I am still going to go see it in the theatre to see if they can maybe pull this off with a few additions to the movie or something.

20 years? Uh, try 453 years in the future...

Jason X takes place in the year 2455.

OK, may I also add the question:

Why was Jason cryogenically frozen???

Lemme just say, there's no way you can ruin a series that is already down the drain. The movie is going to be cheesy as hell, just like the first ones.

No offense if you liked the series.

taken from a website:

"the film is set a cool five hundred years in the future, when a group of students on a field trip to "Old Earth" discover the frozen remains of Jason Voorhees (Kane Hodder) and Rowan (Lexa Doig), a lab technician who nearly died trying to put the killer on ice several millennia ago."

The entire Jason series was corny but that was what was good about. Every horror movie in the 80's was. Take sleepaway camp and Freddy for example. Ah well I'll probably see it and order a big ol' tub of popcorn too. I hope I have a good time with it, there's no doubt it'll be different but it might not be too bad.

the same reason fry in futurama was. He delivered pizza to a cyrogenics place, and accidentally fell in a freezer.

actually i don't know

LawnGnome2005 18th April 2002 19:57

I wonder if the writers of the movie even thought about that part. I mean why would you have him frozen. Also I liked the old Jason movies, well some of them were dumb. I didn't like the 1st one or Jason Goes To Hell.

Thats' not funny dude! Do you know how many countless people have ended up in that exact predicament? Only 1 in Matt Groening's mind! ;)
