right idiot, when you start a skin, do not do the bitmaps seperatley, do them all as one then cut them out when you have finished.

That picture you posted earlier... it doesn't matter. It's just a detail. It isn't a button, so it has no function, therefore, you do not need to skin it in a separate bitmap.

Just finish the current design according to the template, or start your own based off of it. Make sure all of your functional buttons/displays/etc. are in the correct place. Then you cut them out (not by yourself... there are certain coordinates, otherwise your skin will look like it's a fux0red), and paste them into a new bitmap. Resize it, or, use a template, and save it as the proper name. Winamp recognizes these bitmap names, thus, knowing the bitmaps function. Winamp has a list of coordinates for bitmaps, thus, knowing what is what in the bitmaps.

But here's what I've gotten so far (and I've done some of the playlist avs and equalizer)

I just noticed that the viscolor background dosen't match up to the main.bmp color.. I put the same RGB values in.. but the viscolor is darker..

could be your color settings. are you at True Color (32)?

I don't want credit on this. I must honestly say that the skin sucks, but only because you haven't really done anything to it yet. I suggest you remake the whole thing. It was made in MSPaint, thus, very messy. Just base it off of the design. But remake it...
