Not the most original name, not the most original concept...

Started this earlier today, just trying a few things out and i havent done anything with blue for a while now so i thought it might be time.

I dont like the vis area or cbuttons and the moment.:hang:

Anyways, is it worth finishing?

Hmm, maybe carve into the cbuttons to match the skin appearance, the viz... only thing I can think is make the shape more irregular to match the overall effect.

looks great. maybe get rid of that lighter blue bar at the top of the viz. and add some blue to the cbuttons

That depends on what you want.Its your skin after all.;)

Mebbe add a subtle spotlight or 3 lights down.

I did the whole spotlight thing with the robnation skin. It turned out to be a terrible pain in the ass.

There are some subtle lighting effects on this one tho.

I think some of those pipes are a little out of place compared to the shiny bevels used in greyish areas of skin. Also I guess you would have to keep in that position or else it would look kinda weird due to the seamless transitions between the windows.

I'm not sure I like the craquelure you have in the backround...

I think the craquelure looks fine. Some colour variations would look nice.

Well this skin was just trying out a few effects with eyecandy...and im mainly making it for my g/f so it might not even get submitted. I have another project that ive got sitting waiting some more work too.

I'll definiately finish this one though.

The transitions between the main and eq are the only seamless parts, the playlist and mb look fine in other possitions, which is the way i do most of my skins.

It has a posbar.Thats not very atmo is it?

Some silly person thought it'd be a good idea to merge all the layers of the .psp file to take a screenshot, then closed psp and saved it like that....:cry:

Luckily i had saved the basic shapes i started with, and i was becoming tired of how it looked so ive changed a shitload...taking my time now.

Another update.....I'm liking how its looking, it seems better with color, but is it getting repetitive?? Would it look better with some different buttons for the plstacks and mb control buttons??

Another update, more cleaning up some areas and adding little details here and there...

Screen shot isnt very sharp though.

Im planning out some animations for the volume/balance and eq, that should look really cool if they work...Just damn time consuming..

I lik'm both, I bet you can still finish the first one.
But to be honest I like the second one even more (if that's even possible). They are two totally diffrent skins but with the same style. I specially like the EQ.
The only thing that I really dont like are the C-buttons (+ other same looking buttons) and the text area's. I think you you should keep the style of the background. make ik more "alive".
Fot the PL and MB it's ok, but in the main and EQ I think you should try to alter it. (not a must, cause it looks great this way)

Stuck for ideas for the volume/balance animations though...i was thinking of showing a cable sliding behind the cutout but im not sure if it would look any good.

I like both of them, and dislike both of them. Both of them have things I like, and things I disapprove of.

Which parts dont you like cleanup??

I've just spent a while staring at this thing looking for inspiration, and im undecided as to whether its too busy...Yesterday i thought it had depth, as in i kept looking at it and noticing layers towards the back that dont catch the eye at first....but now i think some of it just makes it look a little messy.

Tried deleting a couple of layers to clean it up but it didnt seem to help...

Does anyone think i should just leave it like that and finish the rest, or see any sections that could be covered/removed, or should i can it??

Me thinks thats a decision that you shoult take.

Well ive decided im definately gonna finish it. Spent too much time on it to give up now....It's gonna be detail to the max from here on in though. :D
