your vB installation is still 2.0.1, seeing as the current version is i think 2.2.5 i suggest you upgrade to fix a whole load of security issues, and to add new features :D

As far as security holes go, if they haven't updated the version, I bet that they would have manually patched it. It is going to be hard to get Steve to notice though. He rarley comes here.

its not the version of the forums, its the quality of the people and discusion within them. we could be on version 1 beta, and it would still be good due to the people here.

an old forum i was a member of updated and for some reason we all had to re-sign up, we all lost our post counts :(.

updated boards have more features (good), but take longer to load on my 33.2k line :(. i would personally give it a go at upgrading, if it fuxorz up then load the backup.

the mask down the buttom is a bit fucked up....

it had 1.1.6 just a few weeks ago (but it was clearly vB 2)

i think this forum is more upto date then it looks

Also, Steve uses AOL so if you want anything done about the version of it, send him a messege.

After years of fixing things that aren't broken and ending up with big problems, I think I agree with the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" piece of advice. :igor:

the version at the bottom is wrong, we use a more up to date version. I wont say which however, since it may be that they are using security thru obscurity.
