In my .psp file I'm using Mischa's Template. But I used a button extractor to extract all the buttons coz I'm lazy and it has the lamest template, which you can see in the (unskinned) Main WS,

I might redo the cbuttons - having had a few days off from skinning this, they look really flat. But I'm now heavily into exam season and well it may be a while before I can do anything.

On the subject of wacky colour variations.. I do plan to do some when it's finished. Perhaps green, pink (there's not enough pink in the world), yellow. I dunno. More on that later. Much later. :D

Lookin good skinme, The buttons look great, tho they seem a little smooth compared to the squareness of the rest of the skin IMO. Looking forward to see what you do with the eq on this one.

Well this is the EQ. I've yet to animate the sliders. Cleanup thinks it's too clichéd now on this skin. Care to disagree? :D

[edit] I might change the titlebar so where it says "graphical..." it's darker like the main and part of the thin frame for the graph. also, I've thought of the main titlebar eastereggs but not yet implemented them. [/edit]

Ok, I'm about to "animate" the EQ sliders (nothing fancy I'm afraid). My question to you lovely folks who managed to figure out how to get to the fourth page of this fat thread is: (drum roll please):

Which of the following styles (see attchmnt) do you like best?

1. Black w/ med red

2. Med red w/ bg red

3. Black w/ bg red

either 1 or 3, although it is a bit hard to tell without being able to see it with the rest of the skin

I'd go with 1. Black w/ med red

I changed the name, the posbar. Did the playlist, all the windowshades (complete with supafunky transparency). This is the product of one whole days skinning.

I know, I know "finish it already" but I'm slow.

Superfunky transparency is right! Subtle, not overblown - the way it should be!

If you're looking for suggestions, I have a couple of small ones:

- I agree with ~Supey. Perhaps your highlighted text in the playlist could be a light grey?

- I'm not sure I like the black in the EQ bars. Maybe a lighter red? (Although I could see how that would be a little to predictable and LCD-like.)

- There's a bug in your depressed Open File Cbutton - it loses its right border.

Take your time with it! (You're almost done anyway . . . . :) )

Thanks for the bugs-up. The PL thing was a decision made two nights ago at approxiametly 3am by which time I could only remember the colour code for white :D

Thanks Simon for the MainWS EE bug. What buttons am I meant to check the alignment of? All the cbuttons on the WS work and so do the appbuttons.

Simon, thanks for the bugs-up. I've been up for 9hours skinning DFX6.1 - 2 hours for transparency alone. I'll sort that out if possible tomorrow.

As detailed in (temp) readme, DFX skin is in a ZIP inside the WSZ (crazy). Unzip it to C:\Program Files\DFX\Shared\Skins and make sure "Use folder names" is ticked so it goes in Skin\Ironcore.

Still to do: MB.INI, MBInner, Cursors, sleep, eat, revise, mourn the loss of my life :D

A little tip for all you skinners: DO NOT skin DFX 6.x

u see the little winamp symbol in the dfx window, would it be better if it was shaded red like the rest of the skin? it pokes out like a sore thumb as it is.
