licencing

i want to be able to broadcast any song i want, and i can find anything on the website given in the post above about a licence.

I want to get this licence as i have a website ready to broadcast the music, and despiretly want to broadcast but do not have allot of money to buy i licence. Do you think it would be much?

or does anyone know where licences can be purchased from

Thanx in advance
Matt

Couple of things:
1. You hit the wrong button, this thread is actually a contiuation of this thread, where in Matt2kJones asks:

licensing
hi where can i find out information about licensing, and does anyone know how much it costs to broadcast mp3 files
2. If you don't have a lot of money you probably won't be able to afford the costs of licensing, see http://saveinternetradio.org/ for they how and why.

As I already stated, the whole industry has no idea how to answer the questions you've been asking, for you or themselves. The RIAA and Copyright Arbitration Royalty Panel are basically lobbying for an expensive royalty to be placed on every song streamed, and if it goes through, many internet broadcasters will be forced out of broadcasting entirely.

Aren't they wanting 14 cents, for each song, to each user?

It's something ridiculous like that.
