making skins with ps7
 

i recent got the the ps7 thinkin that it would be much easier to start making skins... but i just can't to find a way to do so. is there any feature that i should know that might help. thanx

not inside ps7, but you might want to try out the PSD2WAL program, do a little search here and you'll find the place to download

There is no specific feature in PS7 to create skins, you have to create the skins using PS skills.

NOt sure how other people do it though.

PS7 makes it much easier to make the graphics for skins

I don't know what you were using before PS, but if i assume it was something like Paint, then you should just play about with PS for a while, look up online tutorials and things, you'll soon find features and options that will help make skins, such as effects and filters, layers transparencies and so on.

I dunno why you guys say it's easier... PS7 is like PS6 except some minor changes.

What are you guys talking about making skins in ps7?? Am i missing something, as far as I know photoshop still uses the .psd format to save as a file and then make the skin.... Did I miss something

easier then MS Paint....

okay, i dont think anyone has any idea what you're talking about.

check out the wa3 skins/scripting forum. at the top, there is a stickey post that has links to skinning tuts. But if you've never used ps before, maybe you should check out some ps tuts first. it might be wise to try a wa2 skin before doing wa3. there's no coding involved in wa2.

But I have over 4 years of Photoshop knowledge, and have made over 20 real sites, and probbaly another 20 of thoes personal websites and maintained them, all using extensive graphics made in photoshop just this last week I started two more (dont belive me? http://www.rynation.com , http://www.rynation.com/index2.html) so please don't tell me to try some beginer tutorials to PS. I also have skinned winamp3, not from tutorials on this site, but from already knowing XML from making two sites using it, I don't need to start skinning winamp2. I thank you for trying to help if thats what you where trying to do, but the thing I was stating was that there is no diff in skinning from photoshop 6 to photshop 7, as there is no diff using paint, corel draw, or paint shop pro. That is all, thanks

By the way, XML is a markup language, it isnt even coding, and MAKI is one of the easiet languages you can learn asides from JavaScript, so yes I can handle the coding.
