Atmo 29th May 2002 07:52

Mr Jones 29th May 2002 08:04

Why?

simon snowflake 29th May 2002 08:05

why not?

Mr Jones 29th May 2002 08:13

Ok, can someone tell me the standard font of MSPaint?

simon snowflake 29th May 2002 08:21

ok ok, i need winamp at work, but i need to be able to hide it away, but if I make a replica of notepad.....
(or anyother proggie I use)

Mr Jones 29th May 2002 08:24

Hahahaha, that's the funniest thing I've heard yet hehe, your gonna make a notepad skin so you can hide winamp on it, funny stuff, send a copy my way when your done won't you :D

Course you could always minimise to tray, with no icon showing, and then bring it back up on screen using task manager or something.

Atmo 29th May 2002 08:27

HEHEHE..:D

Thats a great idea simon...:D

simon snowflake 29th May 2002 08:29

thanks, I thought you would make fun of me if I said the true reason.

Make fun of you Simon, never, we love you so, and just to prove it, here I've made you a gift, the ultimate in hidden winamps, blends in perfect with any plain white backgrounds......

Atmo 29th May 2002 08:44

LOL..:D I cant belive you even did the avs window like that...Now just make an avs preset that shows up white and it'll be perfect...

StillWater 29th May 2002 09:13

Hehe. I was going to suggest to Simon that he does one like that and hides it on his Notepad - I didn't realise someone already did one. Would have been better with buttons in their pressed states and visible PL songs when selected so you could actually use it.

Mr Jones 29th May 2002 09:16

Simon, Simon, do an paperclip shaped WA3 player, just make sure you have office running or something at the time hehe:D

Jellby 29th May 2002 09:34

Use mikroamp, set it no window and tray icon, skin the tray icons in mikro.bmp to make it look like an antivirus or something.

Back to the original question: Notepad it the BEST program out there :D You can even change the font, so there's no 'standard' one. I always set it to fixedsys.

No no, Notepad PRO all the way baby, more options, built in winamp control, skinable and lots lots more...

Jellby 29th May 2002 10:01

Actually, when I need more serious edition I use UltraEdit (you can even hex-edit your cracks ;) )

Lion King 29th May 2002 10:03

fixedsys

Mr Jones 29th May 2002 10:06

Nothing beats Quill and Parchment :D

Atmo 29th May 2002 10:14

For hex editing i still use xtree gold 3.0....It has it's limitations....but it's still useful.

MetallichicA 29th May 2002 12:41

Lol, this is what I should have made, instead of "Most Obnoxious"- at least it would have a purpose then  I just made mine to piss people off, but everyone ended up liking it LMAO

Banjo 29th May 2002 12:46

I believe the standard font in Notepad is dependant on the OS, i know at home on my Win98 machine it's fixedsys, but Win2k is on the graphics machines i use, and they use a different font, Courier perhaps, can't remember.

Hehe, hidden Winamps, i like it, i'll go dl the white one just now in fact :)

StillWater 29th May 2002 13:27

I've got 2k and it's Courier. Not that it matters, since it's changeable.

PeaceMaker 29th May 2002 13:54

// offtopic
uno what frigs up win2k, installing a winNT4 soundcard driver [ sb16 pnp ] on it, then run winamp, lol, explorer.exe corrupts and keeps refreshing itself, after it runs that stupid log. the sound even worked too. :D for a short while.

// ontopic

ultraedit rocks for plugin editing ;)
just skin the mikro amp to suite ur wallpaper at work.

I know its stupid, but here is a ss.

PeaceMaker 29th May 2002 14:09

i dunno if that'll cut the cheese simon ;)

Mr Jones 29th May 2002 14:10

hehe, Simon, that great, seriously, I can barely bring myself to comment on skins any longer in these forums, but that is just the best idea, I want a copy, that would be ideal for my desktop at work, are you doing individual windows, or one big continuous window with a long scroll bar down the right side?

simon snowflake 29th May 2002 14:37

the problem is that the winamp window is a bit to small :(
I'm working on it jones
lol.

Jellby 29th May 2002 14:42

It reminds me of this:

http://www.winamp.com/skins/detail.j...ponentId=73051

I guess yours is the same idea, but for the modern times ;)

simon snowflake 29th May 2002 14:44

almost the same, but whit a whole diffrent reason.

Reanimation 29th May 2002 14:53

Kool idea, please send a copy my way simon when it's done, details in sig.

StillWater 29th May 2002 16:45

So what's your boss gonna say when he walks past you a few times and realises that all you've written for 2 hours is the word "stereo" and some other words that keep moving from right to left? :D

Jellby 29th May 2002 17:10

And when he sees that you're still using the ancient notepad instead of the super-mega, graphics-intensive, profesional, hyper-compatible, etc. M$ Office? :p

In fact, Mr.J had a very good idea, something that you or someone else should try at once:

Quote:

Simon, Simon, do an paperclip shaped WA3 player, just make sure you have office running or something at the time hehe

marc falk 29th May 2002 17:33

you could close the eq and pl, and then pres alt+w

always works when i'm bored...

fsnl
sparky

eo: Hybrid - Altittude

J. Burnaway 29th May 2002 17:40

And what will he think when he sees you are using notepad to type ATOMICCHAOSEXPERIENCE - especially when it scrolls, and he sees SEXPERIENCE (unless you work for a porn site - then he will probably walk away happy that you are "hard" at work)

dam 29th May 2002 18:07

Hey simon I wanna copy too.

simon snowflake 30th May 2002 06:07

You all get your copy's when I'm done :D

and about the ancient Notepad; In AutoCAD you have a text window in wich you type your commands. You can undock this by press in F2 and you get a window as shown in the ScreenShot I attached.

Jellby 30th May 2002 08:52

So, you're making actually an "Autocad-text-window" skin ;)

simon snowflake 30th May 2002 09:06

yes and no, I make a notepad skin, but since notepad and the "Autocad-text-window" look alike I can use it that way.

simon snowflake 30th May 2002 10:39

1 Attachment(s)
changed it a bit

J. Burnaway 30th May 2002 19:38

Simon - do you use AutoCad to do skins in some way? If so, how do you use it?
