That is normal behavior. It is just SHOUTcast.com connecting to your stream to verify it is up and running. If you friend cannot connect then that is an unrelated issue. Have him find your station on SHOUTcast.com and tune in that way, or post a link to your station here and we'll see if we can connect.

>yp.shoutcast.com touched!
Also not an error. It means that SHOUTcast has been updated with your current listener count and song title.
To make a link to your station use: http://IP:PORT/listen.pls where IP is the IP of the machine with the DNAS and PORT is the port the DNAS is running on (by default 8000).
If you are seeing yp_tch then you are in the list at SHOUTcast.com. What is your stations name?

station name

the name of my radio station is Acids radio

i cant open the link you give up so... . what do i got to put in URL at the yellowpages?

Tom 3rd June 2002 18:40

Did you replace IP with the IP of your machine and PORT with the port the DNAS is on?
If you're getting tp_tch and yp_add then chances are you are in the directory. I just looked and you weren't so your station is probably down right now.

its ok now

thx for the support tom its working now so

only 1 question is this upload because you sent xxxx bytes to the server

Tom 5th June 2002 18:45

Yes, broadcasting uses your upload bandwidth and listening uses your download bandwidth.
