Stream directly to a webpage???
Is there a way to have a stream play on a webpage?
|
As background music? No. You could embed a media object into your site, but that wouldn't be the same thing. Personally, I don't think it's too much to ask of your users to simply click a link to your stream. That gives the user more control... if they want background music, the have it. If they don't want it, they can simply not click on the link.
You could theoretically use Javascript to open a new window (in this case, a link pointing to your stream) on page load. Of course, that still relies on the user having Winamp. And it's annoying. |
embed stream
how would i embed it as a windows media player object?

You can't embed a stream. You can embed a music file which is stored on your webspace. Like I said, it's not the same thing.

Actually it is possible, if the server has Shoutcast or Icecast software running and you are able to embed the stream into your page..
However I doubt you have/are either of those two:) |
