Ok anybody with a bit of common sense would realize I didn't really hit him, or blow-up, I just said Winamp is the best! And duh', your little medal comment, your in a WINAMP FORUM, and your dissing me about likeing winamp too much, {sniff, sniff}, do you smell that irony Major Dude with over 1580 posts, {sniff, sniff}. This is a general foum and I thought I liked to see what some people would say to defend Winamp, but I guess you just too much of a to just joke around. I don't really get mad if people use realplayer, I just wanted to see what you guys'd say...

Inatlantis, in my follow up post, I was just trying to tell you I wasn't reall throwing punches, just seeing how much ppl loved Winamp, I wasn't try to start anything up, so let's just stay cool. On a totally unrelated topic, (trust me it is), why do people overreact to everything around here? We all like Winamp, we're all here to just chat, but you people say mean things, than when people reply, you condemn them for saying mean things, don't contradict yourselves, just get along. And i am not here to flame, so stay off my case, cuz I won't fight back! [anymore]

Note that someone's post count does not reflect their wisdom or brilliance... it just reflects the amount of posts. Also note that Inatlantis has over two times my post count, yet I have been here over four times longer than him.

Anyway, Inatlantis overreacted a little in my opinion, because It looks like blueprint_n9ne was just looking for more valid arguments to convince his friend to use Winamp instead of Realplayer :). I don't see why he can't put down Realplayer. It indeed is a piece of shit.

Actually, I think he was misunderstood, what I think he meant was, well, this was like a thread he could his friend read and it should have been full of good things about Winamp. I think?

Well, mmm, since he already said this to his friend and that didn't really work, he'll need another argument. :p

I've persuaded my friend to use Winamp over Windows Media Player. But it failed. So what? I'm not gonna be his friend anymore, am I? No.
I know both programs fairly well, so it doesn't bother me when I'm at his house and we're playing mp3s on WMP. ;)

Lol, it had nothing to do with hating my friend, he asked me why he should use Winamp, he thought it was s***y, so I was asking people what they thought of Winamp. I don't hate Realplayer, I just don't use it.

Exactly what i was looking for, but like some of my other posts, people focused on a joke, like punching my friend, I am not a psychopath, i don't go around giving beatings for Windows Media or Realplayer users. :p {or should I}

I dont like Realplayer but i have no choice - i must have it.
I sample Greek music from Greekmusic.com which requires realplyer.
Its the only place i can get the streams from and simply downloading random tracks from kazaa on my 56k.

It's ok, i'm really confusing sometimes. Hey, some sites let you download videos, but it is only in .RAM form, do you have to have realplayer for that? someone told me u did, or can your change the ending to mpg or something?

Let your friend like real player while you listen to tunes in Winamp which allows for more CPU to be used on other things, no people spying on what you listen to or have on your HDD, etc...

You can use Winamp to listen to streaming Real audio and video. Just download the plugin called 'Tara' and start playing. Leave Real installed though.

Um, isnt the whole point to get rid of realplayer with an alternative.
There is no point in me bothering using this plugin.

I have said many times that I don't care what people have, the intention was for defending Winamp and saying what Winamp has, not to bash Realplayer or anything. What's wrong with having a little Winamp pride. :)

The reason? People like you who don't give misunderstandings a rest. I sometimes don't point across clearly, but I don't expect you to overreact, just ask, if I say I punched somebody, just ask, did you really punch him if you are ready to go off on a flaming spree because of it.

benefits are that you don't have to use Real. You can remove most of it. Also, why not use WMP instead of Winamp(for mp3 that is)? If it aint broke, don't fix it..

what i'm saying is that you seem to deliberately but something in your post that will make people slightly mad, so they'll respond . . . i think you do it on purpose, and i don't think it's a bad thing, it really works quite well, i think it's funny that some other people don't seem to see this, and they just get pissed off . . . and reply, just like you want . . .

Your're right, NOT! I don't want to fight people, besides what you might think. The reasons SOME, the keyword is some, of my posts end up like that is because of two things. The first is my fault, i am quick to lose my temper when people make rude comments, like you, {ahem}, the second is because even after I drop it, or appoligize, people just keep it going, much like you! So if you don't wanna see anymore this, STOP REPEATING THE SAME COMMENTS, i understand i pissed a few people off, not anymore, {see some of my other posts where anything went bad, I made well}, so just drop it. I am not here to flame, i am here to help people with stuff, and get questions answered myself.
