i have

• LG CED 8080B
• Win XP Pro #2600

wat cdr software shold i use (and so i can use cdrw) because eveything i use seems to come up woth "not compatable" or "??? not found"... can some1 please help me

Talking about packages.. what did you get packaged with your cd-writer? That should work!

I dont know if you tried using Nero 5.5 (whatever the latest is). Did you try installing the drivers again after removing them?

I use nero for cdr and XP's built in packet writing software for cdrw....The version of easy cd creator i had wont work with xp (compatibility issues) but i only use cdrw for backup so basic packet writing software is all thats necessary.

Nero has been doing the job for me and the built in XP thing for CDR/W's is good too.

I have an identical setup (LG CED-8080B and XP Pro) and Nero 5.5.8.2 works fine for me. :)

Now we're talking about Nero anyway in here and this just seems a better way than posting a new topic:

Shit! I just started ripping my CDs in OGG, but now I want to put them on a.. euhm... copy for myself on audio-CD, in audio-format, but I can't burn OGG directly to an audio-cd, like I could with mp3 files! What do I do now!?? Shit! Is there a ogg-plugin or something?

built in xp stuff dnt work.. easy cd dont work.. and i cnt get hold of nero cos i have such a shite conection...

Easy cd creator is working for me right now..but it has to be Volume 5 (basic) anything else just won't work they hyave known compatibility issues. check the website though :)

You probably just need updates.

You may need to update your ASPI layer.

Do some research about ASPI first though...

Nero 5.5.8.2 Update is available and I notice differences.

They are techinal differences but to me its simply a bit ptittier and gives me more info whilst burning :D

umm...
have u treid asking freinds if they have nero, if that dont work, take ur computer back if it is still under warranty, cos most computer stores have a policy which is somewhere along the lines of :repair refund or replace
try these things, they shuld get u some positive outcomes;)
