New Skin Submission..! Why that much problematic?
 

I am a freshman and today i tried to submit a skin for the first time, but faced with a problem. Actually i am not sure whether it is a problem or not. When i press the publish button i do not receive any confirmation message... Well, I suppose there should something appear saying "ok, request received" or something else like that. I tried many times, but no hope. Is this normal? I searched the forums and it seems that I am not the only one who had faced similar problems. Is submitting a skin usually such a problematic matter?

Yeah it sucks. But anyway, The publishment of a new skin can take a few minutes. You just have to wait a bit. If it's successful, It'll take you back to 'Your Recourses' with your freshly submitted skin under unpublished.

the database is screwy a lot, but if something went wrong with the submission you will get a message that something went wrong. Like Omnitarian said, it can take a couple of minutes. just keep trying till it works.

if that doesnt work you can always try to upload iton http://www.deviantart.com or http://www.1001winampskins.com - you should most likely do those 2 with winamp.com because winamp.com can take from weeks to months to publish your skin whereas deviantart and 1001winampskins publish them instantaneuously (well, devart does, i never did 1001 yet)

after you upload it on winamp.com like Omnitarian said it will appear in the unpublished section for a few weeks/months. devart and 1001 are good for the first few weeks then poeple forget about ur skins and it goes to the back of the line (everybodies does), so be patient, it'll work out eventualy.

at http://www.1001winampskins.com publishing is instantaniously, but only if you have published a skin at 1001 before. your first skin will be reviewed, and that will take a while, though nowhere near as long as at winamp.com, not sure but I think it's about a week. once you've published a skin, all next submissions are published instantaniously

Check your submission page to see if the skin is listed as unpublished. If it is then everything worked. If its not then there was probably a problem with the database. Try again in a day or so and it should work.
