Transparent Equalizer bars
I've found that often a skin would be much better if there were some way to "blank" the equalizer - take the bars and sliders out and leave the picture intact - but I haven't discovered a way to do this. The only way I know of to take them out is to replace the gradients at the bottom of eqmain.bmp with a picture fragment, but this only repeats a small pattern where the bars used to be - instead of leaving the picture whole. Is it possible to disable the bars entirely?

Crop the eqmain.bmp right above the eq bars. This will take them out, but it will also take out the sliders and presets button.

Thanks! I don't care about the buttons, but the bars were really getting in the way...

Just a word of warning. If you're using a skinner.exe to make your skin and it doesnt have all the buttons and sliders it will be rejected when it comes time for publishing. If its done manually or a modified skinner.exe it should be ok. It will lose points for functionality though.

What about skins that have the eq bars so that the active bars and sliders are croped out, but thin, non-animated bars are in there place? They are still useable.

Like i said, it only applys to skinner.exe skins. Skins that just have the line drawn (like some of Mr. Jones') are fine.
