you told us that winamp has a bug that caused BooM to not function properly... but it's been about 4 builds and it's still not fixed. maybe it's just BooM itself. i really want to use it on the newest build - 485 and not 481.

I belive Boom suffers the same prob as some of my stuff, a change somewhere in calling component windows, playlist, media lib etc etc, dosn't seem to want to work from #482 to #485

Both myself and Adil have tackled this in different ways , with different results.

Adil can get his playlists and stuff working, but some of the default skin shows thru, I can get my playlists and stuff working, but with some guru errors in the standardframe.maki set up.

Both of us are puzzled.

I would love to see a working skin that has a standardframe thing going on for the component windows, if only so I could compare and see what's different about it to what I have now, I'm sure Adil feels the same way.

Try it on a newer build and see what happens when you try launch a component either from the thiner or the context menu.

My standard frames work ok upto 482 then they all go to hell after that :)

It won't be possible to do these designs using only the color controls of wa3.
I will probably make them themes that you can choose from the boom control panel in a future version.
the problem is that the skin file size will be huge since the animations must be skinned too...:(

make a light, medium and huge version like winamp does with wa2

Yes, but does your machine log all software that gets installed on your machine, and report back to a central database within the company, thus letting the sysadmins know exactly what non specific software you are installing :D

Actually, I don't know whether it's a bug or not, but I wouldn't be surprised if this was intentional and a change in how components work...

I have successfully gotten the playlist to work in another skin, but it doesn't use standardframe for it...

I haven't tried the rest of the components yet and I haven't tried standardframe either..

But it wouldn't surprise me if this was intentional and that they just haven't told us about it..

Hey Adil, you should send BOOM! into Ken, like it says on the winamp homepage, in that article Calling all Winamp3 Skinner. Then you can just have will update what he needs for winamp3 final and have it all over and done with.
