Just start by opening up main.bmp and drawing stuff...It'll come to you eventually.

its really simple, just play around a bit in your graphics application and look at the results>

i should just give up now, i dont understand any of the guides to skinning winamp, i aint smart enough for all this anyways:cry:

It isnt that difficult.

Did you make that sig youreself.If you did you have what it takes.
Even if you didnt you cant still skin.It just takes a lil patience.

ok,

open a *.wsz file (wa2 skin file) with winzip, or rename the wsz file to *.zip, and extract it into the skins directory. (advice, rename the directory to myskin or something)

now you have a directory with the skin in it.

open main.bmp, change someting, save it. and open winamp, open the skin. voila

download Template Amp, i dont believe i ever read any of the guides except the one telling you about the vis.txt thing

its real easy to skin winamp, really easy, even i can do it and ask these guys, im nto exactly bright :)

Download mirc and come into #skinlove...We'll be able to explain the whole skinning process better. :)

change the name of the skin from name.wsz to name.zip

Open with winzip or any archive tool and open the .bmp files.
Draw something on the .bmp

Edit : Listen to atmo.Join #skinlove on the **** server.

ok, this is where the real bullshit lies in:[list=1][*]Open up Windows Explorer.[*]Click the View tab[*]Click File Properties.[*]I forgot where it is, but unclick the "hide known file extensions"[/list=1]
You are now ready to start unzipping you skins to see what makes them tick.[list=1][*]Find a skin. any skin will do[*]rename the extension to .zip[*]open it up.[*]Find a file.[*]Open that up.[*]See if you can do something like that.[*]If you can, you're ready.[/list=1]
