outside can't connect, people on my network can

 Alright, i did EVERYTHING i could to fix this problem, i'm getting the NAK error, but i can fix that by not listing it on the shoutcast website, which i don't need to, it's just for my friends. That's allowed right? or is that where i'm going wrong?? I can connect to the thing, and my family can too on their computers, but no one outside of my network can.

I have the ports open, and i'm running as a virtual server - this is all on my Broadband router.

I just remembered that i have a router to my families computers, but for my computer, it's to another router, and THEN my computer, for my xbox. Could this be the problem too?

Damn I'm all out of options, i was so exciting =\

What is the EXACT error?

Update to version 189 of the DNAS for more descriptive error messages.

That's just it, i'm not getting any errors at all on the server. But when people go to the page, it says Unable to Connect.

Same problem

I have the same problem. In the network I can connect to the server without problems, but if I asked friends to connect from outside they say, that they get the message "error on connecting".
The server and the DSP is running on a computer directly connected to the internet via DSL-Modem. The network computers are connected via Microsoft InternetSharing to internet over the computer on which the server runs.
I am using the Internet-IP of the Server-computer to connect to shoutCAST with my network computer and that works without problems.

What url are the people outside trying to use?

http://yourserverip:yourserverport/listen.pls

Don't give out a lan ip, like http://192.168.1.100:8000/listen.pls though.

Not the wrong IP

I am using my Internet-IP even in the network to connect to the radio. In the network it is working but not from outside.

(I got my IP from one of this sites, which checks your system-security and with winipcfg.exe, too)

Deutschland,
For ICS you will need to setup port forwarding. Since your DNAS is on the gateway you could also change the PortBase to less than 1024 and it will automatically route it to the gateway machine.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

I took 1000 instead of 8000 and outsides can hear me. Wonderful.
Thank you again
Hannes
