That is total CRAP. Honda now needs to die. I could rant about in legalese about how this should not have happened, but I don't have quite THAT much time.

Well, it proves my theory that Honda sux.

It seems pretty obvious that Honda wants to keep this information away from it's competitors. Even is similarly information has been leaked before, it doesn't make leaking more information any more justifiable.
Yeah, but all the information that this guy posted on the net had already been published in a few major automotive magazines. Honda was not justified in getting this man fired.

honda sucks

What if he was hired? Would he visit more? Would he get and leak more information?
If the details were posted in several major magazines previously, it is a fairly sure bet that Honda had already released them. That's actually a moot point. Information can't be leaked to the public twice.

this is what happens when you jack up a civic and add a body kit. lol@HoMoCo.

That is F'D UP. He should tell his (ex-)boss that the charges made against him would never stand up in court, due to the lack of any confidentiality contract, and if HoMoCo didn't want any "leakage" of information, it's their own damn fault. The only possible way they could win the suit is by saying that they were trespassing - and they weren't anyway.
But what's so wrong about telling people that you've SEEN the next generation Accord? All you saw was what it looked like from the outside. It's sort of like telling people you've *seen* the cover to the new Harry Potter book - you haven't read the book, so you can't tell people the plot.

And Sawg, to reiterate, this guy HADN'T seen something he wasn't supposed to see. There was no confidentiality contract.

I know it goes on all the time but that shocking behaviour of a big corp.

Even if there had been nondisclosure agreements, it is extremely illegal for Honda to tell another company to fire an employee. Honda could sue that employee, or sue that company, but telling that company to fire the employee is definitely ot one of the legal options.

I'm not a lawyer, so this is based on my limited law knowledge. You can stick the words "I'm fairly sure" in front of ever sentence.
