Directory as playlist

Does anyone know if there is a way to make a directory a playlist. So that if you update a directory with more MP3s, the playlist would automatically add those new files. Is there a way or will it be implimented? Just curious. Thanks!

plug in for wa2

there was this rad plugin for winamp 2 that did something simalar to what your talking about, you could set it to read dir's in the prefs, it was kinda like the media libary in wa3, but it would update automaticly, ie.. i have my music set up like this, c:/my music/band name/album name/track number - track name.mp3 if i have an mp3 from a band without an album its like this c:/my music/band name/track name.mp3.. the album list plug in would read my dirs and would sort them for me. if i wanted to listen to all my poison the well tracks id click on poison the well, if i wanted just one album, id click on poison the well - tear from the red in the album list, and it would automaticly put it in the playlist.. search winamp.com's plug ins for 'album list' you wont be disapointed, as for wa3, i hope they develop something like that. so i wouldnt have to reconfig my media library every day...

This would be awesome.
For the moment you can drag your MP3 dir to the playlist and then right click and choose remove duplicates. This will update the ML as well. However it will not remove files that are gone (eg if you renamed them)

Try Explorer Playlist... by...well.... me.

There is also a thread regarding it in the Winamp3 Developers Forum.

Enjoy
