Thats okay. I think it looks better than most ads that are up there. Like for AOL 1000 Free Hours, or the dreaded Oprah Ad Banners. (Randman's rage against them a few months ago.);)

since when are we picky about ads? the company providing them usually doesn't care what you think. i'm still trying to figure out how they figure this shit makes money... every ad i've ever seen on the web i've either ignored OR followed and realized it was a scam (remember the "punch the monkey and win $10000000000" ads?).

any purchases i make online, i do through a standard channel of business (ie amazon or best buy). also, i only check out one of those sites by word of mouth from friends, and i only buy things that i already know i want (ie a book that my local brick-and-mortar doesn't sell or sells for more money). the banner ads are annoying, but i have long ago learned to shut them out of my brain (interesting piece of equipment, the human brain is).

the ones that really get me are the ones that grab your browser and won't let go. i usually alt-f4 the browser window and never return to that site again. screw them for letting the ads obstruct their actual content. that just makes them bigger whores, and less respectable. if you are so desperate for money that you need to do that, then you're doing something wrong.

wasn't that ad banned anyway? promoting cruelty to animals or summat.

Doesn't this ad promote cruelty to llamas by playing them music? I guess the only stuff they would want to listen to would be Andean panpipes (or whatever they play in the Andes) :D :p

Do they have internet access in the Andes?
I hate the new popdown ad banners served by Yahoo!. They're made on Flash, and its annoying. It takes longer to load the thing.

Sure they do Aeroe, the monks all have broadband DSL linkups with WiFi access points. :D

I wish I could use WebWasher and AdAware and stuff at work... :(

you know whats even worse? on the skins page, in the featured skin section, it just says download winamp. and it takes you to the main page.

those ads are intedend for ignorant internet users like your mom. no seriously. my mom clicked on an ad for internet online gambeling and it kinda sucked up on the credit card.

also the ads to really sell you products. they keep the company in your head subliminally. like coke ads. they dont say coke is better buy coke. they show hot chicks drinking coke so when you get thirsty and hear shakira you drink coke. it works.

movie ads. watch men in black and count the ads. i counted like 40.

ads i hate the most. pop unders and spash screens to websites with timers on them. thos suck balls! and pop ups you cant right click in your task bar to get rid of. you have to click on them and then click the close button. i use mozilla now but ads are starting to penetrate them as well even with my anti ad options selected. :mad:

Hmm....I have a sudden urge to go use Winamp now...

The llama is 'mating' in that ad. ;) It's a pretty good ad though I guess. What is really annoying is those 100000000 hours free [size=small]or 31 days free, whichever comes first[/size] ads are annoying. :(
