I'm making a Milkdrop skin, and I just don't know. One moment, I think, 'yeah, this will be alright!', and the next, I look at it and I'm horrified. Please vote and tell me what you think. Comments are welcome.

This *could* look good, but im not axactly sure, i cant yet visualize the finished product. You should keep going tho.

Atmo 7th July 2002 01:13

Hmmm...It could work, but IMO the colors arent right. I think you should keep working on it though.

Namelessv1 7th July 2002 01:40

I think it has great potential, especially with that pattern in the background, but the colors might be a little too bold. You should definitely keep working on it though.

I think this could posible be turned into a good skin, but it needs a lot of work, at the moment it's just a bit too chaotic, maybe if you put a framework on it or something, something too pull it all together.

BlueBalls 7th July 2002 05:37

yes i agree, its way to....yea chaotic (dman i hate not knowing words  ) but i figure with the right tools you can make it all come together nicely and look pretty :)

Jellby 7th July 2002 09:12

It's a good starting point  I think you should either integrate the controls with the background, whick seems like impossible to me, or make the stand over it with frames, lighter colours... Make the background a real background.

P.S. I miss the milk drop, I hope you use it at least in the minibrowser ;)

that defenatally is a challenge.
But not my style, way to chaotic, but I sure want to see what you can make of it.

Taking off my polite hat and putting on my truthful opinion hat, I say, "The colours are a bit garish. If you want to stick to the pattern, then perhaps make it a little more monochromatic.

I agree with Mr. Tough Guy. This skin needs a theme/direction. The only thing I can think of is to try and convert the red & black lines from 2D to 3D and have them border your elements.

If you save one thing from this skin, please save the shuffle button. If it works like I think it will, it would be tres cool.

I like it, but it is kinda bright. (yes i actually said that) I would still change it, maybe use a darker color for the background, but it looks good right now.

OK. What about this one? Is it still too garish?

(the shuffle button etc. will still be there, they're just not in the screenshot)

Mr_Tough_Guy 9th July 2002 12:51

still think it's too chaotic, really needs something to pull it all together

StillWater 9th July 2002 12:54

so far, it's just the background. Anyway, I like the chaos (actually, it's a repeating pattern) - but it will look very different with all of the components on it anyway. But before I start on the components, I want to know that the colours are right. Do you still think the colours of the background are too stark or garish?

Mr_Tough_Guy 9th July 2002 12:57

the colours are al right, didn't mind the colours on the first one either though

Saotome 2.0 9th July 2002 13:04

I like chaos. It seems to be missing something, but I can't tell you what. Keep up the good work!
