Rename the .zip to a .wsz and then place the skin in the folder:: (X):\Program Files\Winamp\Skins .

OK ummm..the Zip anime skin has been Unzipped in MY BRIEFCASE section of my computer and is in pieces for example: Anime.Zip Balance.bmp Play Pause.bmp and so on...how exactly do I change the Anime.zip to Anime.wsz?Do I right click on Anime.zip or what? Please bear with me....

Click the original .zip that you downloaded, click it once, and hit F2. Now just change the part that says zip to wsz .

Actually, winamp will read zip files for skins. All you have to do is download them to your winamp/skins folder and select it with the skinbrowser.

Yeah. What is the purpose exactly for having the .wsz extension? I always right click and save any skins I download as .zip files. Is it just so they'll have their own pretty Winamp icon or is there a practical reason? They seem to cause more confusion than good. This thread being a case in point.

The advantages are that when named .wsz they can automatically load upon download, and can be double clicked to load from explorer.

Actually I consider that a disadvantage, but I know that it can be prevented by going to "File types" and checking the "Confirm open after download" box. I just don't like files automatically opening when downloaded. Microsoft does that enough already. Call me paranoid if you want. :)
