New version of mIRC & Info file components
 

I've made some fairly major updates to my components, so I thought they deserved a new thread. They now have preferences panes and the like. So:

mIRC component:
Like the DDE plugins for the old version of Winamp, this should be more reliable as it uses the new mIRC mmaped file/sendmessage method as opposed to DDE. Has loads of options as to what to send. This is a "push" component - it will announce in mIRC without your prompting. This is not what everyone wants - if you don't want that try my info file plugin below.

Info File Component:
This component is very flexible, I use it instead of my mIRC component for communicating with mIRC, as it enables multiple instances of mIRC to work with no problems. It outputs a plaintext file with information on the playing song one field per line. I also use it to provide the "Now Playing" image you see in my sig. Instructions are provided.

Think I will stick to the info file componant.

It still works a treat, not sure what all the extra files are for in this release tho ;)

What IRC network is the winamp channel on ?





Ah, just realised you don't need to use the configurictafasf.tion.

server: irc.****.org

channel: #wa3-s&s

Yeh the XML file is there to provide the panel in preferences, it needs to go in wacs\xml\InfoFile\ or wacs\xml\mIRC\ depending on the component but the zip should extract it there.
