Can a song be made into a recordable continous loop?

I would like turn one mp3 or wav into a continuous loop that could be recorded as one track. Is that possible?

When I burn a photo slide show CD, my software allows me to include one track as background music. The song plays while the pictures display, but for large slide shows I run out of "song" before I run out of photos! So if I could turn a song into a continous loop that could be recorded as such, I could use it for large photos albums.

Or... could one song be recorded somehow 3 or 4 times and turned into one track?

I have the latest Winamp and Roxio EZ CD Creator Platinum 5.1. Any ideas out there? Thank you for your thoughts.

For loops the Acid series of music making software does continuous loops. The loops can be a few seconds of several songs. I think there is a demo version.
