Thats what I get for making unverified assumptions.. Lo and behold, I looked, and I found.. whoops.. mah bad!

Well, the spec is version 1.0 now at least, heh.

What version ogg does winamp use? Doesn't 1.0 play 1.0 files the best? Actually, I've already encoded some files in ogg 1.0 and played them in winamp.

FYI kiddies, any oldass RC1 decoder will play v1.0 correctly. it's a reference decoder, there's no such thing as "playing them better". and that's what's included with Winamp.
locking, since this has nothing to do with Winamp3. use news/gendisc forums instead.
