winamp to wave

hey,
the title seems to be the same but i still give it a try. I've downloaded 2.80 version and tryin a bit around with it. Under preferences i selected : Winamp2 MIDI plug-in V2.36b, configure with device:midiOut:B:SB Live!-Midi-Synthesizer, Volume Control:MIDI, Output: Sampling checked with: SB Live!-Wavegerät and Write Files checked directed to a Directory. Under Plug-ins:Output selected Nullsoft WMA Output plug-in V0.90 (x86) and configured with the same directory as above. After doin this closed the options and restarted WINAMP. Played a song from a CD but nothing happened, although i thought that it'll gonna create a wav file in the created directory. What am i doing wrong ? any hint or kink
I'll greatly appreciate any of those

Regards

not audio cd ripping interest

Hey Sawg,

first thank you very much for the fast answer. I'm not looking after doing any audio CD ripp with WINAMP, have other tools for that. I just thought that it is possible when i need a song or a melody from a CD for a power-point presentation i could use WINAMP for convertin'
a winamp to a .wav file, since Powerpoint cannot understand WINAMP files. That's simple all. I try to use WINAMP 2.80 under Windows XP.

Thanx for any further hint or kink!!

Winamp files are MP3 files. There is a PP plugin from MS that will let PP point to and play MP3 files using, u guessed it, winamp to play them!

When you say "Winamp files", I assume by that you mean mp3s, which you want to convert to WAV's for use in powerpoint presentations.
