then you should put the trooper's gun or something like that in the AVS.

Mr_Tough_Guy 7th August 2002 19:09

I'll see what I can do, though I'm somewhat limited by the pics I have, and the available space, but I'll try to get something in there

Nini 7th August 2002 22:23

cool!
(maybe a trooper is a better pic than an actor... ;) )

here's another update, pretty much stuck now, have no idea what to do with the equalizer buttons, or the playlist stacks, or the monoster for that matter, changed it but it still sucks.
I'm pretty happy with the titlebar buttons, cept there's a bug in the pressed close button of the playlist winshade mode now, cause it uses the same image as the playlist closebutton

might be interesting to note that the pic in the Mb was one of the pics that inspired this skin in the first place

dimichan 11th August 2002 15:04

I sure hope you get inspired, cause I really like this so far. Only things I can think of is, maybe echo the appearance of the posbar slider/vol animation in the inactive mono/st area, right now it has a bevelled look and doesn't quite match. The pl stacks, oh my bane as far as creativity goes, maybe some kind of alternating rhombus or other tech shapes that echo the the shape of the load cbutton or something is the ONLY idea that pops to mind... and I'm figuring you're going to change the mb text area to match the appearance of the others... and maybe the pl slider color transition could be smoothed a tad to match the other sliders appearance, it doesn't stand out unless you're REALLY nitpicking though.

OT - someone else who listens to Dimmu Borgir - YAY!

Alright, pretty much finished the main/EQ/PL windows, still have to finish the MB, AVS, winshade modes, mikro and cursors.

I'm not 100% happy with how everything looks, but in lack of inspiration this will have to do for now.

anyways I'm hoping someone is willing to bugtest it for me

Oooo *goes off to play with skin* I like this!

Ahem ^_^ anyway, only things I noticed were the one you already pointed out in the PL winshade, one you may shoot me for... technically it's not a bug, but I'd add a thin bevel divider to the bottom of the main window like the others; the color of the bottom ONLY matches the top of the Eq, it's slightly off colorwise on the right to the other components, so while it's fine stacked in order, that's the only order they can be stacked in without it looking "off" and is a shame with the rest coming together so well; and umm, the "new" button on the list PL stack, I'd put in the color transition to the PL so the background is "invisible" like on the other two. But - no real bugs per se that I could see except for the one you already pointed out. Coming along REAL nicely, it'll definitely go in my collection! :D

Namelessv1 12th August 2002 22:41

Wow, that looks awesome.

ClowN 12th August 2002 22:57

what do u use to make these kind of 3d effects and stuff ??????????

StillWater 12th August 2002 23:10

potential bugs:
-PL stacks:
is 'crop' supposed to be blue? and is 'sort files' supposed to change angle when selected?

Comments:
-the bright white sliders on the EQ-WS are too full-on, IMO
-the time display and vis in the Main-WS could use some sort of a casing. This could also look good for the song title and time in the PL-WS.
*d'oh, just realised that you wrote that you haven't finished the WS modes yet.*
-This is defintely the sort of skin that you leave the MB open for - the mbinner looks great. Scrollbars are well done, too.

-The preset button should be still be labelled when unpressed IMO

I kinda wish there was more action going on in the buttons, especially the EQ/PL, but apart from that, this is a very good skin . It probably won't surpass Rose Tattoo on my list of favourites, though.

I know, I would have liked all three windows, to be one big pic without dividers, but because of the tiling in the playlist a gradient like in the main/eq isn't possible, so I kept the main/eq together and separated the playlist

not sure I know what you mean by that, there's no color transistion in the background of the new list button, it's just one colour, the one stated in the pledit.txt, maybe I'm just misunderstanding what you are saying.

yeah they're supposed to be that way, it's the inverse selection button so I thought I'd inverse the colour when pressed, it does stand out a bit though, same thing with the sort file button, it sorts the little squares when highlighted

Just like the on/auto buttons is fine. That's what I meant.

Inverse select - I never would have guessed that the colours were inversed - hmm, maybe invert the background of that stack as well. It would be much clearer - although red and blue...hmmm.....could be ugly.

Sort - I think you should jumble the unselected stack more. They look almost like they are neatly stacked diagonally - which is why it was a bit puzzling when they became horizontal.

dimichan 13th August 2002 02:17

ok, I'm officially going berserk - it looks fine now, but the first time I loaded it my colors were different O_o In other words, my computer loves me as much as ever. So everything looks cool then ^_^

ClowN 13th August 2002 11:58
