can the new winamp change the way it looks like windows media player does and if so can it run windows media players skins

As for using WMP7 skins, I doubt it, different skin engines, there is nothing stopping you converting skin into a WA3 I suppose, be sure to get the original authors permission first if you do.

And I suppose at a stretch you could write a WMP > WM3 skin convertor prog, there is a WA2 > WA3 skin convertor already, so that is not an imposibility, having said that I doubt anyone will.

There's also a WA2>WMP skin converter. It would be cool if someone could do a WMP>WA# converter.

I think WiMP skins support wont be native, but there is nothing stopping you for creating a plugin

btw... the only 1 i couldnt do was th x-box skin, and thats cos wimp and wa3 are competition to each other and as you know... xbox and wimp are both ms products... so i CANT do the skins factory version of a xbox skin...

and may i take this opetunity to sat stop emailing me for the xbox skin, no i didnt finnish it, no i will not do it again and no i dont have a copy of it anywere.. i deleted it as asked by tsf...

and as for the TDK skin.. i got permission for that.. and i am w8ing for the FINAL of wa3 to finnish it...

i doubt it... as its a free form engine, there is no defiante things to pick up on... the only way to do it will be to get the actual source code of ms.. or be VERY VERY VERY good with c++ and know exactly how to parse and manipulate every aspect of xml... and wimp skins use gif anims and java not png and maki
